Taste exceptional coffee, meet Budapest's hidden café gems and uncover how a city famous for its grand coffeehouses became a thriving specialty coffee destination.
I had a great experience doing a coffee tasting event. The program started at 9:00am at the first café. We were introduced to two different coffees and a chocolate cookie and I could smell the hint of ginger and cinnamon in it, and it went so well with the coffee. The second café was just nearby. We had our own coffee selection and a pastry or sandwich, which I loved. Our coffee guide, Lena, a former bartender, shared the history of coffee and how it came to Hungary with us. At the last station, we were taken to a café inside a residential building. It had an old-design yet minimalist feel, making it a great spot for friends and family looking for a unique coffee experience. We closed the event with an espresso and a sweet blueberry cake. It was such a nice combination. I enjoyed the vibes and ambiance of all the cafés, especially hearing the stories behind them and how they started. Kudos to the organizers
